Innovation in MedTech is not only about developing new technologies – it is about ensuring they are safe, compliant, and ready to reach patients. The NoBoCap Safe MedTech Challenge, organised within BEHEALTH 2026, invites students, researchers, startups, healthcare professionals, engineers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Europe to work together on real-world challenges in the medical technology sector.

Over three intensive days, participants will collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, receive guidance from experienced mentors, and develop practical solutions addressing some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare innovation. The hackathon provides a unique opportunity to combine technical creativity with regulatory thinking, encouraging participants to design solutions that are not only innovative but also aligned with the European regulatory framework for medical devices.

The challenge is organised under the NoBoCap project, co-funded by the EU4Health Programme, supporting the development of skills and collaboration across the European MedTech ecosystem.
